Salvation prayer
Salvation is a door. You walk through it by receiving THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and then the walk begins.
LORD JESUS CHRIST, I come before You today as a sinner. I repent of all my sins and turn away from them. Wash me with Your precious blood, shed for me at Calvary. I confess with my mouth that You are LORD, and I believe in my heart that GOD raised You from the dead. Come into my heart and be the LORD of my life from this day. Write my name in Your book of life, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me live in repentance and holiness, prepared for Your glorious coming. In the mighty name of JESUS I have prayed. Amen.
If you prayed this and meant it, heaven has heard you. You are born again, and the road below is yours.
“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
John 3:3
After the new birth
The first steps of the born again
Six steps where the new life takes hold. Begin them this week.
Find a Bible-teaching church
A newborn is brought home to a family. This week, sit under the Word with the believers nearest you.
Be baptised in water
The first act of obedience. The old life is buried with Christ and the new one raised with Him. Ask your pastors for baptism by immersion.
Read the Word every day
The Bible is the newborn’s milk. Open the Gospel of John today and read a little each morning.
Pray without ceasing
Prayer is the breath of the new life. Keep a time that is THE LORD’s alone, and pray for others by name.
Live a holy life
Holiness is the garment in which the Church meets her LORD. Let go of what belonged to the old life.
Anticipate the coming of the Messiah
Live every day as one who will meet Him in it, and bring someone else to this door while there is time.
Why we walk this way
Prepare the way. The Messiah is coming
“A voice of one calling: ‘In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.’”
Isaiah 40:3
Everything on this road is the lamp kept burning for His appearing. Walk it awake.
